Video door intercom: The Gira surface-mounted video home station 7 shows you who’s at the door

We’ve all been there: Your doorbell rings, you’re not expecting visitors, and you find yourself wondering whether or not you should answer the door. With the new Gira surface-mounted video home station 7, this situation is a thing of the past. The modern door intercom system enhances convenience and security at home: You can see who is at the door before you open it and open your home to visitors remotely if you happen to be held up. The unique large display also enables you to communicate with your guests by video link.

Large display and touch screen for easy operation

The Gira surface-mounted video home station 7 is the latest addition to the Gira door intercom range – and it won a Red Dot Award design prize even before it went on sale. When your doorbell rings, the Gira surface-mounted video home station 7 automatically shows you who is at the door.

The large, high-resolution 7-inch display provides clear, non-pixelated footage, enabling you to recognise guests with ease. And best of all: You don’t even have to be standing directly in front of the display, as the large camera image can be viewed clearly from various angles and from further away. Individual brightness and contrast settings enable you to adjust the operating unit according to your needs.

The Gira surface-mounted video home station 7 is designed for ease of use. The touch screen puts all of the new video door intercom functions at your fingertips: Simply touch to stop the bell, communicate with your visitors and open the door.

You can also view footage of who has rung your doorbell while you’ve been out; the system has a capacity for up to 200 images.

New acoustic options with the Gira surface-mounted video home station 7

Want to integrate additional acoustic functions into your door intercom system? With the Gira surface-mounted video home station 7, you can program up to 24 doorbells, internal calls or floor calls. If you’re cooking in the kitchen and want to call the rest of the family down for dinner, just use the internal call function on the Gira surface-mounted video home station 7 instead of shouting up the stairs. You can select one of ten pre-installed melodies or upload your own favourite songs to the system using an SD card.

Elegant and flexible Gira design

The new Gira surface-mounted video home station 7 is available with a matt black glass housing or in glossy pure white, turning the video door intercom into a design feature for your wall – just like other products from Gira. The system is easy to install: If you want to mount the Gira surface-mounted video home station 7 on the wall, simply fit the bracket and click the home station into place. If you prefer a free-standing home station, that’s an option too: The new video door intercom unit comes with a base so that you can place it on a sideboard or desk.
