Experience Smart Home and Design at their best

The show hotel – Be ready to be impressed

Design enthusiasts visiting the show hotel, which is part of the Hotel & Design Workshop (HDW) held in Salzburg, will experience four fully furnished, perfectly functional, and individually-themed hotel rooms. The space is equipped with the very latest technology and the interior design is an absolute highlight. The HDW collaborated with internationally renowned companies, including Gira, to furnish and equip the rooms to exceptional design standards.

What used to be a Salzburg foundry turned into a privileged destination for professionals within the hotel and catering furnishing industries as well as for individuals seeking inspiration. But the HDW is more than just a showroom for innovative hotel concepts; it also serves as a networking venue where architects, planners, and investors get to connect with producers, restaurateurs, suppliers, and future guests – a unique platform where collaborations and synergies come to life.

Collaborations – A must-have in smart home

Vienna-based Formdepot is another active advocate of value-adding collaborations in the fields of design and smart home. When it comes to construction or renovation projects, the skilful integration of individual solutions makes stylish living possible and enhances both living comfort and safety through the use of intelligent building technology. A premium smart home can be described as the perfect marriage of products and services stemming from various manufacturers.

And it was for this very reason that Heinz Glatzl and Joachim Mayr established the Formdepot network, where the emphasis is set on the bigger picture and solutions are defined down to the smallest detail. Beyond Gira, a selected number of other renowned companies offering innovative and high-quality products in their respective areas of expertise – such as Dornbracht and Agape – have become active members of this network. The collaborative efforts are centrally coordinated by Formdepot, so that individual and inspiring living spaces can be created in a relaxed atmosphere.

State-of-the-art smart living

The concept of smart home has become a buzz word, but what does it truly encompass? Anyone interested in finding answers to that question could do so in Vienna last month. The wüsterstrom smart home pop-up showroom brought together the worlds of smart home, smart living and design, and displayed innovative solutions that enable more convenient, more secure, and more energy-efficient living. Gathered in a unique location in Vienna’s first district, visitors could experience the concept of networked home first-hand and get familiar with the latest products from leading brands in the lighting, multimedia and smart home industries.

The exhibition was backed up by various presentations held by professionals in the field, including Gira executive Volker Gagelmann, who shed some light on the topic of smart home safety and user-friendliness.

Whether your motivation is personal or professional, there is hardly a more convincing way to find out about innovative products than by interacting with them in a real-life environment. Exhibitions provide the perfect opportunity to do exactly that. And not just in Austria. You have the opportunity to visit a number of showrooms throughout Germany which happen to display Gira’s extensive product portfolio as well.

Which exhibitions and trade fairs would you like to visit this year? We look forward to receiving your comments.
